IMA will promote communication through:

• Regular IMA meetings
• An interactive web site to exchange information on integrated measurement and control capabilities and needs
• Local seminars to present information on integrated sensor uses and solicit input from end-users on needed applications
• Cooperative presentations and information exchange at end user sites and coordinated publication of review articles and success stories in journals.

IMA will encourage the adoption of standards by:

• Participating in existing industry standards committees and organizations
• Promoting communication on standards issues
• Making recommendations to standards committees and organizations
• Making recommendations to IMA members for practical implementation.
